Dover driver swerves on Providence Boulevard, later found with Benzos during booking

24-year-old Sierra Jackson was charged with driving under the influence, failure to exercise due care, contraband in a penal institution, simple possession, and unlawful drug paraphernalia after swerving in a Jeep Patriot at the intersection of Providence Blvd and Power Street. Jackson was detained and law enforcement later found 2.2 grams of benzodiazepine on her.

On May 24th, Officer Creech was dispatched to the intersection of Power St and Providence Blvd in regard to a driver under the influence. Creech initiated a traffic stop on a Jeep Patriot, due to the SUV swerving all over Providence Blvd, being unable to remain in the right lane of traffic, per report. Creech proceeded to make contact with the driver, who was identified as Sierra Jackson.

According to the affidavit, Jackson emitted a strong scent of alcohol from her person. Following Jackson’s consent to participate in standardized field sobriety tests, the officer noted that the woman displayed signs of inebriation throughout. Jackson would additionally provide a breath sample, producing a .086.

Law enforcement would later search Jackson at the Montgomery County Jail. discovering a clear bag containing approximately 2.2 grams of pills identified as benzodiazepine. Jackson claimed that the pills did not belong to her, but her girlfriend.

Sierra Jackson was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, failure to exercise due care, contraband in a penal institution, simple possession, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $27,500.
