Clarksville man involved in argument while holding gun; charged with aggravated assault

21-year-old Kadin Smith was charged with 2 counts of aggravated domestic assault after police discovered he was holding a .38 revolver in his hand while involved in a verbal argument with someone in his household.

On March 7th, police responded to a domestic in progress on Holland Drive. After further investigation of the matter, police concluded that Kadin Smith was the primary aggressor in the matter. Police discovered that Kadin had been involved in a verbal disagreement with the victim while in the back bedroom of the residence. The argument escalated and during the confrontation, Kadin was holding a .38 revolver in his hand.

Kadin’s 17-year-old sister was in the room with his mother during the incident but reportedly did not feel threatened by Kadin. However, his sister did state to police that Kadin was holding a gun during the argument. Police collected the black .38 special revolver and Kadin was taken into custody.

Kadin Smith was arrested and charged with 2 counts of aggravated domestic assault. His bond was set at $10,000.
