Burglary suspect leaves his wallet at the scene, tries to dodge police on an ATV

35-year-old Christopher Swift was charged with burglary and evading arrest when he broke into a woman’s garage to steal her clothes and left his wallet and ID at the scene. After being identified by police, he was later found and tried to outrun them on an ATV.

On July 21st, a breaking and entering in progress call had units searching around the Robin Hill Road area for a man with a purple shirt, green pants, and red hair. The victim stated that the man with that description had broken into her garage and stole clothes. She also found a wallet in the garage with an identification card in it belonging to the defendant, Christopher Swift.

As the units were searching around the area they saw a man on a 4 wheeler matching the description of the suspect. The officers tried waving him down but he turned and accelerated away causing a short pursuit. The pursuit came to an end in the backyard of 414 Robin Hill Road. After Swift was placed into custody he was positively identified in a show up with alleged victims of the crime.

Christopher Swift was arrested and charged with burglary and evading arrest. His bond was set at $10,000.
