Man slaps woman after she smashes his toe with bedroom door

31-year-old Dustin Holbrook was charged with domestic assault after a verbal dispute led to a woman hitting him in the toe with a door which made him angry enough to slap her.

On October 30th, Clarksville Police Department Officer Elijah Gibbons arrived at the residence of 480 Ringgold Road in response to a domestic violence call. While approaching the residence, Gibbons looked through an “open blind” and saw Dustin Holbrook standing talking to a woman. Holbrook seemed upset and it looked like the two were arguing.

Once in the home, Gibbons noticed cigarettes all over the floor. According to Holbrook, the argument was only verbal, however, the woman stated it later turned physical. She claimed she tried to go into the bedroom and accidentally pushed the door into Holbrook, who was standing behind the door, and hit his toe. She told police Holbrook slapped her across the right side of her face. Officer Gibbons noted there were no signs of assault, then deemed Holbrook was the primary aggressor.

Dustin Holbrook was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $1,500 bond.
