Woman pulls meth from her bra during search; claims to have no idea what it was

35-year-old Krystal Hayes was charged with possession of meth and contempt during a traffic stop and while being searched, she pulled an unknown substance from her bra and told police she didn’t know what it was when she picked it up earlier that day.

On May 16th, CPD Officer LeBlanc conducted a traffic stop for no lights illuminating a license plate and failure to maintain the lane of travel at the intersection of Cynthia Drive and Janie Lane. The defendant, Krystal Hayes, was in the white Chevy Traverse when Officer LeBlanc ran the occupants through the database for known warrants.

Hayes came back with an active warrant for contempt. When Officer LeBlanc conducted a search of her person Hayes pulled an unknown white substance out of her bra. She said she had no idea what it was and that she picked it up earlier. The substance was field tested and came back positive for meth.

Krystal Hayes was arrested and charged with possession of meth and contempt. Her bond was set at $25,000.
