Officers executing search warrant find cocaine and weed in man’s home

30-year-old Troy Wright was charged with possession of cocaine with intent, possession of marijuana, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence after police executed a search warrant and discovered the drugs and other related items throughout his apartment.

On May 15th, CPD Officer Steven Deering executed a search warrant at the defendant’s, Troy Wright, apartment located at 2833 Cobalt Drive. In the spare bedroom, Officer Deering found a bag of cocaine, two digital scales, three torn off baggies, and sandwich bags.

Officer Deering also found a grinder, eight packs of cigarillos, and a jar containing marijuana. One of the toilet bowls had a bag of cocaine in it as well. All controlled substances were field-tested positive and the combined weight of the cocaine was 5.8 grams and less than 14.175 grams of marijuana.

Troy Wright was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent, possession of marijuana, unlawful drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, and driving on a suspended license. His total bond was set at $91,000.
