Woman hits her wife with tequila bottle when she refuses to leave the property

50-year-old Mary Booker was charged with domestic assault after telling her wife to leave the home, and then pushed, punched, and hit her with a tequila bottle when she refused to leave.

On August 10th, Officer Robert Dill made the scene at 47 Locust Street in regards to a domestic assault. Officer Dill spoke with Cherita Booker, who stated that she was at her wife’s house when her wife, Mary Booker, asked her to leave. Cherita stated that when she refused to leave, Mary became belligerent and hit her with the tequila bottle and then threw it at her head. After she was struck with the bottle, Cherita advised that she attempted to flee to the bathroom. Mary followed her then started pushing and punching her. She continued to attack her in the bathroom. Cherita was able to escape the house and dial 911.

Officer Dill then spoke with Mary in the neighborhood about the altercation. Mary insisted that there had never been a physical altercation between them. However, Cherita had visible injuries to her head and had to be treated by EMS at the scene of the crime. Based on the injuries present and Cherita’s testimony, Mary was determined to be the primary aggressor and was placed under arrest.

Mary Booker was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $500.
