34-year-old Ashley Shorty was charged with domestic assault when she shoved a female juvenile after she was involved in an argument with her mother, per report.
On July 25th, Officer Martens was dispatched to domestic violence at 1231 Verkler Drive. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with Tammi Gillis who stated she had gotten into a verbal argument with her daughter Ashley Shorty. She said that Ashley then went into the juvenile victim’s room and began to yell at her and then pushed her onto the bed.
Ashley stated that it was only a verbal argument between her and Gillis and she went into the juvenile’s room to talk to her about going to her father’s home. She said the juvenile was walking away from her and fell on to the bed and that she did not push her.
Ashley Shorty was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $250.
