Unhoused burglars spend night in man’s house and steal his TVs

35-year-old Jervis Brewer and 36-year-old Stacey Gray were charged with aggravated burglary after they were found sleeping in the bedroom of the home they broke into to steal two 32 inch TVs.

On September 21st, Michael Thombs notified the Clarksville Police Department that his residence at 506 Peachers Mill Road had been robbed. Thombs advised police he returned home to discover Stacey Gray and Jervis Brewer asleep in his bedroom. Thombs stated neither of the individuals was given permission to enter his home. He also advised police that two 32 inch TVs were stolen.

Thombs was able to identify Brewer and Gray via a show-up. Officers noted that Thombs’ valuable property included two chain saws, a crossbow, and a compound bow in a pile that Thombs did not put there. When officers spoke to Gray, she advised police they were homeless and entered the home without consent to spend the night there.

Jervis Brewer was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. His bond was set at $25,000.

Stacey Gray was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. She also had active warrants at the time of her arrest for simple possession, unlawful drug paraphernalia, identity theft, and forgery. Her bond was set at $78,500.
