38-year-old Adam Collins was charged with domestic assault when his niece told authorities that he forced her to the ground not once, but twice, by her hair during an argument.
On September 14th, Clarksville Police Officer DeJesus was called to 1726 Evans Road regarding an assault. Adam Collins’ niece told the officer that an argument started in the living room and it became physical when her uncle grabbed her by the hair and forced her to the ground.
Eventually, Collins let her up, but the argument continued until he once again forced her to the floor by gripping her by the hair. After he allowed her up the second time, Collins forced his niece out of the house. She ran to the neighbor’s home to place a 911 call. Officer Dejesus noted that her hair was tussled and disheveled which corroborated her statement. Collins was placed into custody as the aggressor. They have no history of domestic assault between them.
Adam Collins was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $1,000.
