Tint violation leads to meth and paraphernalia charges for two

32-year-old Jacob Pardue and 38-year-old Dustin Herron were charged with possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia when they were pulled over for a tint violation.

On October 14th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Jackson conducted a traffic stop on a black Nissan Altima at the intersection of Highway 48/13 and Antioch Church Road for illegal window tint and bumper law. Both the driver, Jacob Pardue, and passenger, Dustin Herron, were asked to exit the vehicle to conduct a search. Herron advised that there was “ice” and “fentanyl” in the vehicle and Investigator Hunt declared that he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

1.5 grams of methamphetamine, 5.6 grams of marijuana, multiple needles, two digital scales with residue, several bags containing unknown substances, an unloaded handgun, a glass pipe with residue, and numerous other illegal drug paraphernalia items were found during the search. Neither Pardue nor Herron claimed ownership of any of the items discovered in the vehicle.

Jacob Pardue was arrested and charged with window tint, bumper law, possession with intent to sell methamphetamine, simple possession of marijuana, and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $40,000 bond.

Dustin Herron was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $40,000 bond.
