Sweaty man found slumped over wheel tells deputy he did heroin at work and had no idea where he was

33-year-old Tyler Ashcraft was charged with possession of heroin and public intoxication when authorities found him slumped in the driver seat of his vehicle and he told them he did heroin at work earlier.

On September 3rd, a suspicious vehicle call came into 1313 Mutual Drive which Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Evans responded to and found Tyler Ashcraft slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle. The car had no keys in the ignition and had its front wheels up on the curb in front of the residence.

The deputy had Ashcraft exit the vehicle and noted that his pupils were pinpoint and he was sweating profusely. He said that he had used heroin earlier in the day while working. Deputy Evans found a small black case containing heroin inside of the vehicle. Ashcraft also admitted to the deputy that he fell asleep while driving and had no idea where he was.

Tyler Ashcraft was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin,) and public intoxication. His bond was set at $1,500.
