Rifle and shotgun stolen by suspect right under 17-year-old’s nose

30-year-old Jordan Knight was charged with theft of property when he convinced the 17-year-old that he was visiting with to go into the kitchen to get him food so that he could steal two firearms from the house.

On June 30th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the victim of a theft who stated defendant, Jordan Knight, stole a 12 gauge shotgun and a AR 15 style rifle from his home on June 18th.

There was a 17-year-old resident of the home spending time with Knight in the living area. The firearms are kept in the living area of the home. Knight told the 17-year-old that he was hungry so he went to the kitchen to grab him something to eat and when he came back Knight and the firearms were gone.

The victim identified the firearms as a Stevens 12-gauge shotgun valued at $174.99 and a Smith & Wesson M&P15 valued at $809.99. Both had about $20 worth of ammunition in both weapons. The complaint was given to the affiant on June 30th and he was arrested on July 15th.

On July 15th, Jordan Knight was arrested and charged with theft of property. His bond was set at $40,000.
