Protective mother threatens woman with knife outside residence

30-year-old Jerrisha Murray was charged with aggravated assault after threatening an unidentified person with a knife outside of her residence at the Miller Town Apartments.

On June 1st, Officer DeJesus was dispatched to the Miller Town Apartments located on 395 Jack Miller Blvd in regards to a call for service. Upon arrival, DeJesus made contact with Jerrisha Murray, who informed law enforcement that she had been in an argument with an unidentified woman outside of her apartment.

According to the affidavit, Murray claimed the altercation to have begun due to the woman acting aggressively towards her daughter. The dispute required uninvolved parties to separate the two women, per report. Murray stated to DeJesus that, while separated, the woman spat in her face. Murray responded to this act by entering her apartment and grasped a knife. Murray proceeded to vacate her residence and gave verbal threats to the woman.

The victim admitted to being involved in a dispute with Murray but refuted claims of spitting altogether. According to the woman, Murray entered her residence and exited with a possessing the knife, threatening the victim with the weapon in hand. The distance between the two parties while Murray was in possession of the knife was approximately 10 feet. Murray was then taken into custody for aggravated assault.

Jerrisha Murray was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $5,000.
