52-year-old Estela Jimenez was charged with domestic assault and false imprisonment after she pushed her daughter and stood in front of her car blocking her from driving away.
On August 17th, Deputy Leblanc responded to a domestic in progress at 2583 Woodlawn Road. Alma Sipp advised that she and her mother, Estela Jimenez, lived at the residence together and that they had a verbal argument that turned physical.
Sipp stated that after the verbal altercation she went outside to leave when her mother got mad because she did not want Sipp to take the kids. Jimenez then began hitting and shoving Sipp multiple times before standing in front of her car in an attempt to prevent her from leaving. Deputy Leblanc reported that when he arrived on scene Jimenez was standing in front of the vehicle. Before taking Jimenez into custody she admitted to Deputy Leblanc that she pushed her daughter. Jimenez was taken into custody without incident.
Estela Jimenez was arrested and charged with domestic assault and false imprisonment. Her bond was set at $2,500.
