Man with 15+ current charges headed to grand jury over meth

41-year-old Alvin Dewayne Brown was charged with unlawful drug paraphernalia and simple possession when members of the 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force recognized him for his warrants and took him into custody.

On October 1st, Agent Charles Bryant of the 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force observed Alvin Dewayne Brown in a gold Ford Taurus at the Quick Pump Shop at 411 Dover Road.

Agents made contact with Brown and took him into custody for his previous warrants which include theft, burglary, evading arrest, and previous drug charges. Agents searched his person and found a scale with a white powder residue in his pocket. Brown then stated that everything in the car was his and upon search, an additional scale, multiple empty baggies, multiple pipes, and other paraphernalia were found. Agents also found a clear container with a white crystal substance that weighed approximately 0.3 grams and field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

Alvin Dewayne Brown was arrested and charged with unlawful drug paraphernalia and simple possession. He also has previous warrants for two counts of burglary, two counts of theft of property, two additional counts of simple possession, two additional counts of unlawful paraphernalia, evading arrest, driving on revoked, and speeding. As of October 8th, his case has been bound over to a Grand Jury and he is currently being held in lieu of a $92,000 total bond.
