Man that “appeared lost” on 101st charged with DUI

32-year old Milton Brown was charged with DUI and failure to exercise due care after he was involved in a car accident and was unable to recall to police why he was unable to stop his vehicle.

On September 29th, Clarksville Police Officer Daniel responded to a motor vehicle accident on 101st Airborne Division Parkway near the Ringgold Road crossing. Officer Daniel stated that he spoke to Milton Brown, who appeared lost. According to the affidavit, he was not able to tell the officer why he could not stop the car. Officer Daniel performed a finger dexterity test and after several attempts, he was unable to complete the test.

Brown said that he had no substances that would impair his driving. Officer Daniel had him perform standardized field sobriety tests and he displayed several clues of impairment. Brown was detained and taken to Tennova Healthcare to have his blood drawn and tested.

Milton Brown was charged with driving under the influence and failure to exercise due care. His bond was set at $2,500.
