53-year-old James Vance was charged with domestic assault after his girlfriend reported to police that he hit her in the face and gave her a swollen eye and lip.
On December 1st, Clarksville Police Officer Ivan Szczerbiak responded to a domestic call at 101 Chapel Street Apartment A. Upon arrival, contact was made with Tori Brown, who reported she was assaulted by her boyfriend, James Vance.
According to the report, she stated that he struck her in the face, causing a swollen left eye and lip. The officer noted that James also seemed to have an injury on his forehead. When questioned, he stated he did it to himself on a wall.
James Vance was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
