Man shoots at vehicle on Ft. Campbell Boulevard; charged with aggravated assault

20-year old Christian Campbell was charged with three counts of aggravated assault after he fired three shots at a vehicle at Murphy USA on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

On August 23rd, CPD officers responded to a call at the Murphy USA located at 1680 Ft. Campbell Boulevard in reference to a 911 caller who said their car had been shot at. The victim described the suspect’s vehicle as a grey Honda Accord with four occupants traveling east on 101st Parkway. MCSO Lt. Billy Wall was working a road construction traffic detail when he observed a grey Toyota Camry occupied with four subjects. Lt. Wall stopped the vehicle on 101st Parkway where Christian Campbell was identified as the driver and owner of the vehicle.

The victims identified Campbell as being involved in the shooting. During a search of the vehicle, a Springfield 9 mm handgun was found in the center console of the Camry. Christian Campbell admitted in an interview with officers that he fired the three rounds into the victim’s car. The vehicle was struck on the driver’s side rear quarter, driver’s side rear door, and driver’s side front tire that was flattened. No occupants of the vehicle were struck by the gunfire.

Christian Campbell was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $150,000.
