Man pushes girlfriend in attempt to make her listen to his side of their argument

20-year-old Darius Lewis was charged with domestic assault when he pushed his girlfriend to stop her from leaving because he wanted her to hear his side of the argument.

On August 19th, Officer Brendan Davis arrived at 1121 Riverwood Place in response to a domestic violence with simple assault. Upon arrival, Kayla Dent stated that she and her boyfriend Darius Lewis had gotten into an argument in the bedroom of their apartment.

Dent advised that when she attempted to leave the room, Lewis grabbed her by the arms and pushed her. Lewis admitted to doing this in an attempt to prevent her from leaving because he wanted her to hear his side of the argument.

Darius Lewis was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $1,000.
