Man pepper-sprayed and charged after argument with sister

33-year-old Carlos Sanabria was charged with domestic assault after he yelled at his sister, put his finger in her face, and was subsequently pepper-sprayed by her.

On October 13th, Clarksville Police Officer Robinson responded to a domestic violence call at the residence of 111 Marie Drive.

Carlos Sanabria told Officer Robinson that he was in the kitchen when he heard his sister, Angelyner Acevedo, in the living room talking to their mother, Nereida Osorio. Sanabria stated that he went into the living room and a verbal argument occurred. Sanabria told Officer Robinson that Acevedo yelled back at him “what are you gonna do”, and then proceeded to spray him with pepper spray. Officer Robinson spoke to Angelyner Acevedo, who corroborated that Sanabria came to her yelling and was pointing his finger in her face. Acevedo said that Sanabria placed so much fear in her, that she sprayed him with pepper spray in self-defense.

Carlos Sanabria was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
