Man charged after going second round with wife and crashing a vehicle while intoxicated

22-year-old Travis Black was charged with domestic assault after he became intoxicated and held his wife to the ground, shoved her into a bathtub, and wrecked a vehicle after driving while intoxicated.

On July 30th, Clarksville Police Officer Joffer responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at The Parc at Clarksville Apartments, 441 Needmore Road. After he arrived, he met with Carly Black who told the officer that she and her husband, Travis Black, got into an argument about the divorce they were going through. She then told the officer that on the 18th of July, Travis came home intoxicated early in the morning and pulled her to the ground by grabbing her legs and pinned her down by holding her arms, which left bruises.

On October 25th, Officer Green responded to a call about a domestic assault at 2025 Old Russellville Pike. When he arrived, he met with Carly who told the officer that she got into an argument with Travis which led to them getting into a fight. She stated that Travis threw her onto the ground several times and shoved her backward into a bathtub, giving her bruises on her elbow, foot, and lower back. Carly then told the officer that the two had been drinking and that, after some friends pulled Travis off of her, he got into a vehicle and drove away. He was later caught after wrecking the vehicle.

Travis Black was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault and was released on a $2,750 bond.
