41-year-old Valarie Cody was charged with criminal impersonation and fugitive from justice after she gave deputies a fake name, birth date, and social security number when she was being served a warrant from Christian County.
On October 29th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Wright attempted to serve a warrant at 825 Lafayette Road. While at the residence, he encountered several people and asked them their names. One of the women identified herself as Veronica Jackson but Deputy Wright knew her to actually be Valarie Cody. He asked her to write her name, birth date, and social security number down. Valarie wrote on the paper “Veronica Jackson”, changed her birth month and year, and changed two digits of her social security number.
The deputy then informed her that he knew who she really was and asked her if she wanted to tell him her real name to which she responded with “Valarie Cody.” Deputy Wright reported that on the way to booking she told him she lied because she was scared that she had a warrant. Valarie had a warrant out in Christian County Kentucky for destroying evidence.
Valarie Cody was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation and fugitive from justice. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $255,000 bond.
