Man charged after claiming ownership of meth and syringes in passenger’s purse

54-year-old Clifton Schow was charged with meth with intent, felon going armed, possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony, drug paraphernalia, and improper display of plates after being pulled over with meth, a pipe, needles, empty baggies, and a handgun.

On October 9th, 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force Agents noticed a white Mitsubishi 3000 GT driving on Fairbrook Place without a working license plate light. Agents pulled over the vehicle at WoodSpring Suites located at 675 Kennedy Lane, where they noticed there was a needle cap on the center console. They asked if anyone in the vehicle was diabetic which the driver, Clifton Schow, and the woman with him both denied.

Agents then searched the car and found a Ruger.45 handgun, a bag of meth, empty “baggies”, and a meth pipe. They then searched the female traveling with him and found a container with more meth, several syringes, and “various other paraphernalia.” Schow stated that all 2.7 grams of meth, the handgun, and the paraphernalia belonged to him, even though he is a convicted felon from an aggravated assault charged in Kansas from 2010.

Clifton Schow was arrested and charged with meth with intent, a convicted felon going armed, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and improper display of plates. He was released on a $51,000 bond.
