Man caught sleeping behind the wheel of a stolen car

34-year-old Adam Lynch was charged with driving on a suspended license and theft of property after a deputy caught him asleep behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle with a suspended license.

On December 1st, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Jones responded to a welfare check at the intersection of Salem Road and Highway 48. When the deputy arrived, he made contact with David Lynch, who was asleep behind the wheel while the vehicle was in drive.

He stated he got tired while he was attempting to drive home. Deputy Jones discovered David’s license had been suspended, and the 1993 Chevy Camero Z28 he was driving was reported stolen. The vehicle was valued at under $1,000.

Adam Lynch was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license and theft of property. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.
