Man charged after being seen slumped over passenger’s seat; found with meth and ecstasy

50-year-old Patrick Campbell was charged with possession of ecstasy, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine with intent after a deputy found 1.20 grams of a crystal-like substance and 8.2 grams of ecstasy in his vehicle.

On December 8th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Danielle Prichard responded to a welfare check at 2404 Ramblewood Drive. A report stated a man was slumped over in the passenger seat of a vehicle for hours. Upon arrival, the deputy observed Patrick Campbell in the vehicle and asked him to exit. He complied and stated he was asleep for a couple of hours. The deputy asked Patrick if the vehicle could be searched and he declined. K-9 Deputy BeCraft ran his K9 around the car, and K9 Lobo indicted on the passenger door and the bed of the vehicle.

After a search of the vehicle, a small bag with a crystal-like substance was found on the floorboard. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 1.20 grams. Used hypodermic needles were found and a backpack. a glass vial and another needle were located near the gas pedal of the truck. The substance in the vial tested positive for ecstasy and weighed 8.2 grams. Patrick was the only one in the vehicle.

Patrick Campbell was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine with intent, and possession of ecstasy. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
