Man shatters girlfriend’s car window and hits her juvenile daughter when she calls police

27-year-old Johnnie Banks was charged with domestic assault, vandalism, and interference with emergency calls after he smashed his girlfriend’s car window and he punched her and her daughter.

On November 3rd, Clarksville Police Officer Goodall arrived at the residence of 500 Kraft Street in response to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with Johnnie Banks and his girlfriend, Catina Burns. Catina stated Johnnie got angry with her when she told him to leave her apartment. She advised Johnnie stood outside, calling her several times and she did not respond until he threatened to break the windows on her car.

According to Catina, as she stepped outside, she saw Johnnie smash her car window with a rock. She said she attempted to call the police, but he charged at her and took the phone from her hand. She reported that he knocked her to the ground with a punch to the face and proceeded to kick her several times while she was down.

Johnnie claimed he did break her window but he did not assault her. However, Catina’s daughter witnessed the incident and called 911. Catina told the police when her daughter tried to intervene, Johnnie hit her too.

Johnnie Banks was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault, vandalism, and interference with emergency calls. He is currently jailed on a $7,000 bond.
