Florida man arrives in Clarksville via stolen vehicle and gets booked by deputies

40-year-old Jeremiah Johnson was charged with possession of stolen property after he was found driving a vehicle that was stolen from Florida.

On November 23th, Montgomery County Sheriff Deputy John Acree and Deputy Megan Corder stopped a vehicle on I-24 westbound at mile marker 9 for failing to stop at a stoplight, per the affidavit. While Deputy Acree and Corder were investigating they found that Jeremiah Johnson was driving a stolen black 2006 Ford Taurus from Florida. Upon further investigation, Johnson was found to not have a valid driver’s license. Johnson was placed into custody and transported to Montgomery County Jail.

Jeremiah Johnson was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
