Elderly man charged after getting pushy with his roommate and her friend

69-year-old Albert Roy Garner was charged with domestic assault after pushing his roommate when she would not make her friend leave the residence.

On October 27th, Clarksville Police Officer Darrius Robinson responded to a domestic call located at 205 Beech Street. Upon the arrival of the scene, contact was made with Debrorah Mallory, who stated that Albert Garner, her roommate, became upset with her because she had a friend over at the residence.

Mallory told the officer that after she had called 911, she was standing at the front door and claimed Garner had pushed her. Garner had stated to the officer that he and Mallory only had a verbal altercation. He also stated to the officer that nothing physical happened between the two of them. Due to the statements, Albert Garner was found to be the primary aggressor and placed him into custody.

Albert Roy Garner was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.
