29-year-old Essence Brown was charged with domestic assault and vandalism when she smacked her parents and broke their vase and popcorn machine.
On August 28th, CPD Officer Becker arrived at 1856 Sage Meadow Lane in response to a domestic assault. Once there, contact was made with Arthur and Rhonda Brown who said their daughter that lives with them, Essence Brown, hit them both with an open hand.
The officer reported that scratches were observed on their arms. She also damaged a vase and popcorn machine with a combined total of $240 that belonged solely to them. A search of Essence’s history showed no other criminal history for domestic offenses.
Essence Brown was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault and vandalism. Her bond was set at $3,000.
