Clarksville man smashes two mailboxes during overdose; crashes van nearby

52-year-old Adrien Boudoin was charged with driving under the influence and two counts of failure to give notice of an accident after he overdosed on a narcotic behind the wheel, hit two mailboxes then crashed in his own driveway.

On August 18th, Clarksville Police Officer Canales arrived at 220 Downer Drive after a hit and run call. Two witnesses were outside at the address and told police that their mailboxes had been hit. One of the individuals gave police the direction the vehicle went and officers shortly found a crashed blue van with an unresponsive Adrien Boudoin in the driver’s seat. He was discovered at his residence on 14 Dalewood Drive after officers observed rim marks on the road leading to the driveway.

Boudoin was slumped over in the driver’s seat and entirely unresponsive to verbal and physical interaction. Officers on the scene administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and naloxone via Narcan to resuscitate Boudoin. After being revived, Boudoin refused to talk with police and declined medical transport. He was cleared by emergency medical services and taken into custody.

Adrien Boudoin was arrested and charged with two counts of immediate notice of accident and his first driving under the influence. His bond was set at $2,500.
