Clarksville man rips girlfriend’s shirt and pushes her into traffic during breakup

19-year-old Daishon Bohart was charged with domestic assault after he ripped his girlfriend’s shirt and pushed her into traffic because she was breaking up with him.

On September 1st, Officer Brett Wiessing responded to 1527 Armistead Drive in reference to a domestic that occurred on August 29th. Destiny Carrero stated that she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend Daishon Bohart as she tried to end their relationship. Bohart suggested they go and get a drink from Sonic on Dover Crossing. After realizing their conversation was going nowhere, Carrero asked Bohart to take her to her brother’s apartment on Bennett Drive. Bohart drove to North Clarksville Medical Center instead.

After repeat attempts to get Bohart to take her to Bennett Drive, he got out of the vehicle, threw his phone, and began yelling. Carrero then attempted to walk away. Bohart began to push and shove Carrero, then stood on her feet and held her arms down. He ripped her shirt after seeing a mark on her neck. He then shoved her into traffic on Dover Road. Carrero tried to flag down traffic and Bohart left the scene. Carrero walked to her brother’s apartment and made a video of her bruises.

Daishon Bohart was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $500.
