Clarksville man flees scene leaving a trail of marijuana and paraphernalia

20-year-old Kyi Braxton was charged with possession for resale and unlawful drug paraphernalia after fleeing from police on foot near Publix with 58 grams of marijuana and a set of scales.

On September 2nd, Clarksville Police Officers were dispatched regarding a call for service to Publix at 1490 Tiny Town Road. The driver of the vehicle, Kyi Braxton, fled the scene on foot and was caught shortly thereafter. The officers walked the flight path of Braxton and retrieved three bags of marijuana and a set of scales.

The vehicle Braxton fled from emitted the smell of marijuana, so the officers search it and found plastic baggies as well as more scales. CPD Officer Christian Canales field tested and weighed the marijuana which was 58 grams.

Kyi Braxto was arrested and charged with possession for resale of a Scheduled VI substance, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and contempt. His bond was set at $30,000.
