Man caught with meth and more than 75 needles after shoplifting aquarium supplies

31-year-old Timothy Phillips was charged with shoplifting, criminal impersonation, possession of meth, and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia when he was searched for shoplifting at Walmart and found to be in possession of meth and more than 75 needles.

On August 27th, Timothy Phillips entered Walmart at 1680 Fort Campbell Boulevard and proceeded to take aquarium supplies, clothing, and a backpack. Timothy concealed the merchandise inside of the backpack and passed the last point of sale exiting the store. The merchandise totaled at a worth of $200.41. Walmart did not seek restitution. Clarksville Police Officer Andrew Ramirez received a call and soon arrived, apprehending Timothy Phillips. Timothy stated that his name was Joshua Casey Phillips and that his date of birth was 11/12/1990 which was found to be false information. He was later identified at Timothy Phillips.

Officers searched his person and found a cotton ball in a small jar with three needles. Timothy advised that the cotton ball contained methamphetamine which was confirmed by a field test. He told officers that he was driving a vehicle from Mississippi and advised that the vehicle was located in the back near a gas station. Officers located the vehicle and the K-9 unit had a positive hit on it. Officers searched the vehicle and found an additional amount of meth and more than 75 needles in the van.

Timothy Phillips was arrested and charged with shoplifting, criminal impersonation, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His total bond was set at $14,000.
