Clarksville man charged for threatening to “chop up” woman with axe, per report

40-year-old Marshall Powell was charged with aggravated assault after threating a woman with an axe and saying he was going to “kill her, chop her arms off, and shove them up her a–“, per the affidavit.

On March 12th, Officer Huneycutt responded to a call in reference to a domestic dispute on Proctor Drive. The victim told officers that Marshall Powell came out of the bedroom holding an axe and went into the living room where she was located.

The victim went on to say that Marshall then threatened her by saying he was going to “kill her, chop her arms off, and shove them up her ass”. Officer Huneycutt checked Marshall’s information in the NCIC database and discovered that he had an active COR on file with conditions. According to the affidavit, Marshall was violating his COR by threatening the victim and drinking alcohol.

Marshall Powell was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $50,000.
