Clarksville man assaults woman when confronted about his drinking and infidelity

28-year-old Tyler Shaper was charged with two counts of domestic assault after officers were called out to investigate an assault from that day and were also advised of an earlier assault that involved him hitting a woman in the face when she questioned his drinking and cheating.

On July 13th, Officer Robert Steinmetz was dispatched to the Park Place plaza located at 3095 Fort Campbell Boulevard in regard to a reported domestic assault that occurred at 1261 Cottonwood Drive. While investigating the incident, the victim advised that there had been a separate assault on July 2nd or 3rd.

She advised that Shaper punched her on the left side of her head during an argument about his drinking habits and his repeated cheating. Upon speaking with Shaper about the incident, he denied that the altercation had gotten any further than a verbal argument.

Tyler Shaper was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault. His bond was set at $2,000.
