19-year-old Kyana Bess was charged with domestic assault when she went to the victim’s house, punched him in the mouth causing it to swell, and then fled the scene prior to police arrival.
On July 13th, Officer Hampton was dispatched to a domestic violence call. Upon his arrival, he spoke with the victim concerning the assault with Kyana Bess. According to the victim, Bess arrived at the residence to discuss something. They began to have a verbal argument that turned physical at the front door.
While in the doorway, Bess hit the victim in the mouth with a closed fist leaving a cut and swelling around the left side of his mouth that was consistent with a physical assault. After taking the victim’s statement, a warrant was taken out for Bess who fled the scene prior to the officer’s arrival.
On July 22nd, Kyana Bess was arrested was charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $5,000.
