32-year-old Demarko Long was charged with domestic assault after telling his girlfriend he was ‘going to beat her ass” during an argument.
On September 8th, Montgomery County Deputy Evans was dispatched to a domestic in progress at 1529 Brair Hill Drive. When the deputy arrived contact was made with Kwannia Garrett who stated that she and her boyfriend Demarko Long were involved in an argument.
Garrett stated that during the argument Long said that he was “going to beat her ass”. Garrett stated that this placed her in fear of imminent bodily injury due to Long’s tone of voice, the fact that he was yelling it at her, and that fact that he has hit her in the past.
Demarko Long was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $500.
