Hair-pulling sister-in-law refuses to leave until police were called

20-year-old June Crotzer was charged with domestic assault after she went to her sister-in-law’s home, hit her, and pulled her hair. She refused to leave until police had been called.

On September 9th, CPD Officer Heather Boyce responded to 1047 Dunbar Cave Road for a domestic call. Officer Boyce same in contact with the victim upon arrival. The victim stated her sister-in-law, June Crotzer, came to her residence and tried to initiate an altercation with her. The victim told her to leave and when she refused, the victim escorted her through the doorway outside. Before the door was closed, Crotzer threw the door open and knocked a picture off of the wall, breaking it.

Crotzer then began hitting the victim and pulling her hair. Officer Boyce noted there were several tufts of hair in the area of the front door that appeared to match the victim’s hair. Crotzer had left before police arrived. A witness was able to verify they saw part of the assault but did not know who initiated the altercation.

June Crotzer was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $1,000.
