19-year-old Malayah Wright was charged with domestic assault when she took the victim’s phone and when he tried to get it back, she attacked him and hit him in the face with a shoe, per report.
On July 7th, close to 5:30 pm Officer Knoblock and Officer Rattray made contact with the victim of a domestic assault. He said that the defendant Malayah Wright took his phone from his hand while he was sitting on the couch in their living room.
After taking his phone he stated that she went into the bedroom of the apartment where he followed to retrieve his phone. When he got back there he said that Wright hit him several times in the face, hit him in the face with a shoe, and scratched his left wrist. Police noticed a visible injury to his wrist and noted that they have no record of domestic violence between them.
Malayah Wright was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $500.
