Man found with meth admits to stealing charger from Walmart and cellphone from MetroPCS

22-year-old Christopher Craig was charged with shoplifting, theft, paraphernalia and methamphetamine violation after Walmart loss prevention witnessed him stowing merchandise and a search revealed a phone stolen from another store.

On September 3rd, Montgomery County Police Officers Knoblock and Robinson were dispatched to the Walmart located at 3050 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. Officers made the scene and spoke with Loss Prevention Officer Keneth Pedrosa. Mr. Pedrosa advised the officers that he witnessed Christopher Craig conceal an item on his person with an estimated value of $15. Officers Knoblock and Robinson spoke with Christopher, and he allowed officers to retrieve his driver’s license from his wallet.

While police were looking for his license, a small bag of methamphetamine was discovered in his wallet. Officers found a charger belonging to Walmart in his pocket, and a cut straw in his backpack. After being read his Miranda Rights Christopher admitted to attempting to shoplift from Walmart, that the straw was used to snort meth, and that the bag containing 0.73 grams of meth belonged to him. He had five cellphones with him and stated one of them was stolen from MetroPCS located at 660 Providence Boulevard.

Christopher Craig was arrested and charged with shoplifting, theft of property, methamphetamine violation, and drug paraphernalia. He is jailed in lieu of $10,000 bond.
