Duo found with Fentanyl, heroin, marijuana, meth, and paraphernalia

37-year-old Matthew Pollard was charged with possession of Fentanyl, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, and 39-year-old Jessica Caldazo was charged with possession of Fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana when they were stopped in a Publix parking lot and found to have multiple drugs, syringes, and scales in their vehicles.

On October 21st, Clarksville Police Special Operations Agent Evans made contact with Jessica Caldazo and Matthew Pollard inside a GMC Sierra in the lot of Publix, 920 Highway 76. Agent Evans observed a small corner baggie on the center console, and as Calzado exited the vehicle she also produced a bag of what was believed to be methamphetamine. During a search of the truck, a baggie of methamphetamine, three baggies of Fentanyl, five syringes, two digital scales, a cut tin can, and another small corner baggie was recovered. The Fentanyl weighed over 0.5 grams and the methamphetamine weighed less than 0.5 grams.

Montgomery County Sherriff’s Deputy Becraft arrived on the scene, and his police service dog did indicate positive during a public odor exam around Calzado’s Lexus. In the Lexus, two bags of methamphetamine, a bag of Fentanyl, and six marijuana roaches were found. Three more bags of Fentanyl were then found on Jessica’s person. Both the Fentanyl and methamphetamine had preliminary weights in excess of 0.5 grams and the preliminary weight of the marijuana was less than 14.175 grams.

Matthew Pollard was arrested and charged with possession of Fentanyl, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $66,000 bond.
