Man charged after shoving sister and ransacking her room

27-year-old Tyler Carter was charged with domestic assault after he and his sister got into a physical fight due to him pushing her and swiping jewelry from her bedroom. He was taken to Tennova after complaining of a sickle cell episode, per report.

On October 21st, Clarksville Police Officer Timothy Hicks was dispatched to 2655 Union Hall Road, otherwise known as Paddock Place Apartment G4, due to reports of a domestic assault. When Officer Hicks arrived, he spoke with Tyler Carter. When asked what was happening, Tyler replied “Nothing, my dad is coming to get me.” The officer then spoke with Tyler’s sister who stated she left the apartment after a previous altercation to calm down and when she came back her room was disheveled.

She asked Tyler for her things back and when she attempted to walk away he followed her and pushed her. She states they began to fight and their mother, Dawn Ramey, had to separate them physically to get them to stop. Ramey reported that she did not see who started the physical altercation. Tyler led officers to where his sister’s watch, necklace, and earrings were. He was taken into custody but was moved to Tennova after he reported that he was having a sickle cell episode.

Tyler Carter was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was released on a $1,500 bond.
