40-year-old Shawn Rose was charged with domestic assault and a violation of an order of protection when he shoved his stepson into a dresser then stated “You’re the reason why your mom and me are getting a divorce.”
On October 9th, Clarksville Police Officer Andrew Ramirez responded to a domestic assault with a simple assault at 854 Lou Ann Lane. Upon arrival, Officer Ramirez made contact with the juvenile victim, Shawn Rose’s stepson, who stated that he was in his room when Shawn came into his room and shoved him.
The juvenile advised that when he was pushed, he fell forward into his dresser causing a cut above his right eye and his eyeglass lens to fall out. Shawn reportedly said, “You’re the reason why your mom and me are getting a divorce” after pushing his stepson. Shawn denied that the assault occurred and was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that Rose was not allowed to be at the same residence as his stepson because of an order of protection.
Shawn Rose was arrested and charged with domestic assault and violation of an order of protection. He was freed on a $2,000 bond.
