Campus burglar 0-2 in hide and seek with police

33-year-old Lamont Oldham was charged with aggravated burglary, drug paraphernalia, and burglary of a vehicle after trying to hide from campus police in a garage on Robb Avenue.

On October 12th, Austin Peay State University Campus Police Sgt. Christopher Euman noticed a familiar face. While patrolling the Raymond C Hand Baseball Park area of Austin Peay’s campus, Euman saw Lamont Oldham inside of the garage at 754 Robb Avenue.

Oldham tried to hide near the front of a car inside the garage when Sgt. Euman caught him. During a search of Lamont’s person, Oldham only found a metal pipe used to smoke drugs. The owners of the home stated that they were missing a tablet and a “large package of cleaning wipes”. They found the tablet near the spot Oldham was hiding. The wipes were not recovered.

Oldham has previously been arrested for criminal trespassing in April, where he was found hiding behind a dresser inside of a home.

Lamont Oldham was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary, burglary, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
