28-year-old Sarah Lewis was charged with aggravated assault after her husband reported to police that she tried hitting him several times and made contact once in his left rib cage. There was an active COR for a similar issue between the couple in the past.
On April 22nd, deputies were dispatched to 1071 Indian Creek Road in reference to a domestic in progress. Upon arrival, Willie Smith reported that his wife Sarah Lewis tried hitting him several times and did hit his left side rib cage.
Deputies noted the observation of what appeared to be three indentations on his arm, possibly from nails, and he had skin that seemed to be red and freshly scratched. Willie said they started arguing and it escalated into her trying to hit him several times in their children’s bedroom. He also told deputies they were again living together after a recent reconciliation.
According to the affidavit, Sarah was not at the home but did see her driving by and a traffic stop was initiated to make contact with her. Deputies noted that Sarah was found to have an active COR against Willie for a similar situation of domestic assault.
Sarah Lewis was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $10,000.
