Woman wacks boyfriend’s head with frying pan during fight

23-year-old Takhyla Drayton was charged with aggravated domestic assault after beating her boyfriend with a frying pan in his mother’s living room.

On September 15th, Clarksville Police Officer Oakley arrived at 1469 Bruceton Drive in response to a call about a welfare check. Oakley spoke with Tiffany Sherman who told him that her son and his girlfriend, Takhyla Drayton, had been in a fight before he arrived. She noted that they had both already left. Sherman said she saw the two fighting on the couch and broke it up. Drayton’s response was to get a frying pan from the kitchen and strike her boyfriend in the head with it. Sherman took the frying pan from Drayton, but Drayton continued her assault by kicking her boyfriend in the face.

Drayton’s boyfriend spoke with officers, and he said that she came in without warning and attempted to go through the house to take their child. He told police that he tried to get her out of the home, but she fought him. He continued by saying she hit him multiple times in the head with a frying pan, and a cut was seen by officers on his right brow.

Drayton was found at 471 Lafayette Road and she told officers that she had been in a fight with her boyfriend. She claimed, however, that he pushed and punched her first. Drayton did not mention her beating him with the frying pan until questioned by authorities. Drayton had no visible injury and was determined to be the primary aggressor.

Takhyla Drayton was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault. Her bond was set at $10,000.
