Woman chomps on sister’s arm during argument with mother, per report

28-year-old Latisha Vaughns was charged with two counts of domestic assault after walloping her mother with an “open fist” and biting her sister on her inner arm while “in an altered state of mind.”

On November 2nd, Officer Jeffery Novenario responded to a domestic violence call at 140 Edmonson Ferry Road involving Latisha Vaughns’s mother and sister, Deotis Vaughn and Tynicha Williams. He spoke with Deotis first, and she stated that Latisha came to her bedroom acting belligerent. She began kicking the door until Deotis opened it to confront her. As the door opened, Latisha reportedly swung her hand in Deotis’s face repeatedly. At one point, she reportedly struck Deotis in the chin with an “open fist.”

Per the affidavit, Officer Novenario then spoke with Tynicha. She stated that she saw both her mother and sister in a physical altercation and attempted to separate them. She advised that while she was in-between the two, Latisha bit her on the inner part of her arm.

According to the officer, Latisha seemed “in an altered state of mind.” She stated that no physical confrontation took place between her and her mother, but one did take place between her and her sister. What she then described was her sister previously trying to break up her initial scuffle.

Latisha Vaughns was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was later released on a $2,000 bond.
