Soldier breaks into Nashville car wash, found behind cash register


21-year-old Ethan Inman was charged with public intoxication, criminal trespass, and vandalism after he broke into a car wash, was found behind the cash register by police, and appeared to be under the influence, per report.

On November 14th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a break-in at Smith Brothers Car Wash & Express Lube located at 436 Murfreesboro Pike. According to the affidavit, the officers approached the business and noticed signs of forced entry. They announced their presence and upon entry, the officers found Ethan Inman and said he appeared to be intoxicated.

Officers noticed Ethan’s right hand was bleeding and he was behind the cash register. Officers spoke to associates of the business and were advised they always leave the register open overnight. Officers noted the broken glass door and glass visible in Ethan’s hand.

Ethan Inman was arrested and charged with public intoxication, criminal trespass, and vandalism. His bond was set at $1,500 but he was later freed on pre-trial release.
