23-year-old Sabrina Ficklin was charged with domestic assault after she punched her husband in the head when he walked away during an argument. She also attacked him with a roller toy and bit him when he attempted to leave the property.
On August 18th, Officer Dube was dispatched to investigate a reported domestic assault at 501 Sourwood Drive. Upon arrival, Officer Dube spoke with Dreneco Ficklin who advised that he had been physically assaulted by his wife, Sabrina Ficklin. Dreneco stated that he had gone to the property to pick up his daughter when Sabrina got into a verbal altercation with him. At that time Dreneco said he attempted to walk away from the situation, but was punched in the back of the head.
Dreneco told police that he attempted to restrain Sabrina, but she continued to push and rip at him. Dreneco explained that he decided to leave the residence to completely separate himself from the altercation, but was followed outside where she attacked him for a second time with a roller toy. He was able to wrestle the toy from her grip and attempted to restrain her once again, but was bitten on the arm during the scuffle. Officers noted in their report that Dreneco Ficklin had visible injuries on his body.
Sabrina Ficklin was arrested and charged with domestic assault and her bond was set at $2,500.
